From San Francisco
Cross the Golden Gate Bridge, going north 12 miles to the Central San
Rafael Exit.
From the East Bay
Cross the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, then follow the signs to San Rafael,
Highway 101, as if you were going north to Eureka. As soon as you get
to Highway 101, take the very next exit, the Central San Rafael Exit.
1. At the Central San Rafael Exit, turn left at the second light, Third Street. Stay on Third Street through San Rafael. It will turn into Red Hill Road. After two miles total, you'll come to San Anselmo and the major intersection of Red Hill and Sir Francis Drake. Stay to the right at the signal. You will be on Sir Francis Drake Blvd.
2. Follow the signs to Fairfax. After Fairfax, you're in the country heading west to the coast. Itıs 15 miles to Olema, where you'll dead-end into Coast Highway 1, at a flashing red light.
3. At Olema, turn right on Highway 1. About 1/4 mile, take the first left onto Bear Valley Road. Continue on Bear Valley Road two miles, past Point Reyes National Seashore Headquarters and Limontour Road, both on the left. Fox Drive is 100 yards past the Limontour Road. Take a sharp left onto Fox Drive by an Oak tree.
4. On Fox, pass two houses on the left and go through an old wooden fence with the remnants of a gate. You'll see a small shingled garden shed on your right, close to the road. Turn right 100 yards after the shed. Pass a shingled house on the right, and keep right at the fork, to the cottage. Welcome, you've arrived!
