Lone Fir Cottage is a private guest cottage on five sunny acres, adjacent to the Point Reyes National Seashore. The cottage features an open floor plan, with the main bedroom just three steps up from the living/dining area.
Both the main floor and the second bedroom are surrounded by windows on three sides, and the cottage has high ceilings. As you look into the tree-tops, the effect is light and airy -- like being in a nest!
The cottage has a wood-burning stove, a furnace, and a heated slate floor in the full bath. Beautiful hardwood floors, slate and copper counters, Douglas fir cabinetry and beamed ceilings, and wrought iron details decorate the interior.
There is a sunny south- and east-facing deck for outdoor dining, or just relaxing. A beautiful new private hot tub is steps from the deck.
On the other side of our seasonal creek lies the Pt. Reyes National Seashore, featuring miles of beaches and trails, over beautiful rolling hills. Our visitors watch whales and elephant seal pups in the winter, stroll through meadows of wildflowers in the spring, swim in the Bay in summer and fall, and dine in exceptional restaurants and visit galleries all year-long.
Elk, deer, fox and all manner of birds abound. Many of our guests comment, This is paradise!
